I am a magpie for vintage fabrics especially those from the 60's and 70's.  My inspiration is the heady mix of print and colour from this era and my pieces feature appliqué and vintage buttons to create small collections of beautiful things.

Clarabella cushions, bags and accessories are limited, handcrafted and hand finished by myself, and are made from 100% recycled vintage fabrics and buttons, therefore each piece is unique.

A bespoke service is available if you require a particular colourway and I search for fabrics with this in mind. Also on offer is a service which allows you to turn a favourite or memorable garment or piece of fabric into a keepsake clarabella cushion.

I attended Glasgow School of Art where I studied printed textiles , then the London School of Building & Printing.  From here I  travelled extensivley (some of the fabrics and ribbons collected on my trips feature in my work).  I returned to Scotland in 2005 and clarabella was set up in September of 2007.  I live and work in Dunfermline, Fife.
